Disney Halloween Card

Good Morning everyone!  It is going to be a beautiful here in Maine today, wish I had it off to enjoy it, but I don't so I am going to get this posted before I leave.

I found a website called. www.disneydreamerdesigns.blogspot.com  which is accepting Disney cards so I decided to post this card I made for one of my Great Nieces - Lexi.  I hope she likes it.
I used the Martha Stewart drippy punch on the bottom.  The card stock is from AC Moore value pack of 50 kraft 5 x 7 cardbases which came with envelopes.  Boo was cut at 5 inches, which made piecing her together so much easier.  I think it came out super cute!

Card Sketch Blog Hop Day 1

Hi! Welcome to the Sketch blog hop! The purpose of this hop is to show how all of these talented bloggers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards. If you've never used a card sketch before, give it a try! Be sure to check back on Sunday, as there will be some bloggers posting cards on day 2. So sit back & be inspired!  If you just came from Susan's you are in the right place, if you would like to start at the beginning, start at Jennifer's blog.

I have never done a sketch before so when I saw this, I jumped at the chance to try it.  For today's card I used my favorite House Mouse stamp.  I just love how relaxing it looks, makes me wish I could find a leave and drift down a lazy river on a beautiful summer's day without a care in the world.
I used Martha Stewarts butterfly punch for the embellishment.  The sentiment was printed on my computer and punched with the Stampin Up scallop oval punch.  The corners of the image were also punched out using a Martha Stewart corner punch and I made some faux stitching around the image to mimick the ribbon.  Hope you like it.

Christopher turned 22!

My son turned 22 on September 8th.  No matter how old he is, on his birthday every year I can remember the hour I went into labor, the minute he was born (6:41 AM) and being so excited he was a boy!  I know every mother must do that, but it is such a wonderful memory.  I am so proud of the man he has become.
Christopher Scott is and always will be, my greatest and most wonderful accomplishment.
For his birthday card, I made him a fishing card.  He loves hunting and fishing!!  I bought this image called campin fun from Treasure Box Designs.  It is an SVG file, but thankfully she also had it in a file format that I can cut it out by hand.
I hope this card makes him remember when we took the double kayak out one year and went fishing together.  Well,  he fished, I took all the pictures :) but I cherish that day, when he took time out to spend time with me.  :)

Teddy Bear Blog Hop!

Today is National Teddy Bear Day!  To celebrate, Jen from Jen's Craft Corner is hosting a
Teddy Bear Blog Hop.  I was so excited to be asked to join this hop, I love teddy bears and I knew exactly what project I wanted to do.

If you would like to start at the beginning, please start at Jen's blog.  If you just came from Sugarlip's then you are in the right place.

For my project, I decided to make a scrapbook layout of one of my Shitzhu's, Mickey.  This dog LOVES "babies".  We found this particular baby at a hardware store and I fell in love with him and when I actually found out that it squeaked...well I knew Mickey would go nuts over him.  Mickey took this baby outside with him when he had to go to the bathroom, went for rides and when he had to go to bed.  They were always together.
For the teddy bear embellishements and for the saying, I bought them from Trinia Clarks website, Digi Scrap Kits.  She is a super talented lady and her artwork is great!!  I cannot say enough about this website, most of her kits right now are under 1.00 - what a deal.

For my blog candy, I am giving away 3 stamp sets from Studio G

Susan's Anything Goes Festive Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Welcome to Susan's Anything goes Festive Birthday Bash Blog Hop to celebrate Susan E. Bermudez's birthday with anything goes to celebrate her birthday whether it be a card, favor, banner, or that something special. Hope you enjoy our hop while you check the following blogs as we celebrate Susan's birthday with our usual creativity and craftiness!!! So, please stop by and make sure to wish Susan a very Happy Birthday along with some bloggy love.

If you are coming from Jearise blog, you are in the right place.  If you happened to just stop by and want to start the hop from the beginning, please go to Susan's blog.

We were told that Susan loves the colors pink and purple, so I wanted to make something a little different - something a little girlie.  I went to my binder where I keep all the ideas I have printed off and found this CD envelope pocket album purse.  I printed the instructions from Splitcoast Stampers website.  This cute purse holds two CD's which could be picture CD's, or a Video you made for someone special, or your favorite music you'd like to give as a gift.  Or...you can use the cd holders as
picture frames.  I used paper from my scrap box to cover the front, they are muted pink and greens, and the inserts of the CD envelopes are a light lavender.  I hope you like it.
This is the inside!

Before you go, I do have some blog candy for you to win, I just ask that you leave a comment. (You don't have to become a follower, but I would love it if you did).  I have a cute little paper mache journal that you can decorate anyway you want.  It is made with all recycled materials.  I would love whoever wins this to post their creation so we can all get inspired.
