Today the Design Team is bringing you some very special projects created for our wonderful and amazing leader Kristal!  Our term is almost over and we wanted to show Kristal how much we appreciate ALL that she has done for us.  The projects that we will be sharing with you, will also be sent to Kristal.  We encourage ALL of her fans to join in on the fun as well!!  Be sure to add your card/project to the link below and then be sure to mail it off to her!

If you've hopped along from Cheri then you are in the right place.  If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)...

Each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. Kristal is donating to the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, Adopt a Classroom, and Autism Research Institute. Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. So you can feel good that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help!

K Andrew's stamps are all made and assembled here in the USA, which is very important to Kristal. This ensures all product materials are safe and that jobs are being provided and maintained here in America. You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store:

I decided to use Kates ABC cricut cartridge.

My card base is 5 x 7
background stamp is from Kristals  "Hooty Owl Accessories" stamp set

I just stamped the star image all over the kraft cardbase with VersaMark ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The owl is cut at 3 3/4 inches.  I cut the scallop oval out with the Storybook cartridge.  The sentiment is also one of Kristal's stamp sets called "Positive thoughts".

Kristal's stamp sets are perfect for cards, layouts, and so much more...

For my project, I'm featuring the Crafty Friends Stamp Set
;K Andrew Designs

This is a little photo book that I bought at AC Moore for $1.00 and thought it would be cute for the little ones to paste pictures of their family pet in, or write about them. I covered the front cover with lavender cardstock, cut the title from Kate's ABC's at 2 1/4 inches, the kittens are also from the same cartridge cut at 1 1/2 and 2 inches.  Here are a few inside pages.

I think I will surprise my great niece, Lexi with this and see what she can make - she loves all animals, ducks, chickens, cats, dogs, hummingbirds...I can't wait to see what she puts in it.

As a special bonus, if you purchase $25 or more, you get the Merci Sentiment and frame bonus Set for FREE!!

Cabin Fever Preview Week at Getting Cricky - Day Two

Welcome to day 2 of preview week.  Getting Cricky is holding a fun inspirational blog hop.  We were asked to use ONE cartridge all week in a variety of projects.  The cartridge I chose is Kate's ABC's.
I just received it for Christmas and this is the first time I have had a chance to use it.

Here is my first card.
My card base is 4 x 5 1/2
Bunny is cut at 3 1/4 inches
Sentiment is K Andrew's "All About Animals" stamp set.
Love love love this set!!!

My second card, I made for my sweetie for Valentines day.  Didn't want it too girly, so I used Kraft cardstock for the base and a dusty blue for the background.
I used K Andrew's stamp set "It's Valentines".  This is also another must have stamp set.  I have used it on so many projects.

My card base is 5 x 5
Bride and Groom are cut at 4 inches from the Potpourri Basket
Embossed the brides dress and veil using the Swiss Dots embossing folder
Sentiment is K Andrew's "It's Valentines" stamp set.

This week, the design team members of K. Andrews are picking one cricut cartridge to use all week and using her stamps on all our projects.  I chose to use Kates ABC's and can't wait to show you how versitile Kristals stamps are.

You can play along with us too, choose one cartridge and use her stamps and link your project up on any Design Team members blogs.  We can't wait to see what you come up with.  Most of all, have fun with it!

Love Song Blog Hop Day 1

Welcome to PaperCraftingWorld.com & CookingWithCricut.com's Love Song Blog Hop! Love is in the air and our Designers have come up with some great Valentine's Day projects inspired by their favorite love songs.

If you arrived here from visiting Laralyn at Handmade from the heart you're in the right place. If you're joining us mid-hop and would like to start at the beginning click
here to go to Paper Crafting World’s Cooking With Cricut blog and check out what Melin has made!

I was inspired by I'm Your Angel, by Celine Dion.  This song came out about the year my 16 year old niece passed away from menegitis, and everytime I heard it, I imagined, it was Jodi telling me "I am your cloud up in the sky"..."I'll hear your voices when you call me, I am your angel".  There are a lot of versus in this song that I took comfort in and thought of her when I heard it.  She has been gone 10 years, and through crafting and these challenges, I am just now able to make layouts and hope some day I will be able to actually write down my thoughts and feelings, but maybe that will be for another challenge. :).  I hope you like my layout of a very very special person in my life.
I used the angel from Papercrafting World.  If you have not seen her designs, you really need to stop over and check them out - so cute.  You can get them as cut files or digi's.  I chose a digi for my layout, and used some stickles for the halo.

We hope you’ll join us and link up your favorite love song inspired project at CookingWithCricut.com  One lucky entry will be chosen by random.org to win a $10.00 gift certificate provided by PaperCraftingWorld.com! And make sure you leave a comment, too! One lucky commenter will also receive a $10.00 PaperCraftingWorld.com gift certificate!

Your next stop on this fun hop, is Debbie

Share the Love Blog Hop

Welcome to Paper Piecings By Nikki's first bi-monthly blog hop. This month, the design team has been asked to create something with love. If you have seen any of Nikki's new releases, you'll see that we had no problem picking and choosing which piecings to use. So get cozy and be prepared to be inspired...
Share the Love Blog Hop
If you've arrived from Patti's Blog , then you are in the right place. If you want to start at the beginning, hop on over to www.paperpiecingsbynikki.blogspot.com and start there.

For my project, I decided to use Nikki's freebie.
Card base is cut at 4 1/4 x 11 inches
For the wording, I typed them on my computer and cut them out.  I did search the web for the correct color for each cause and thought it would be fun to mount them on flags.
One of the reasons we are "Sharing the Love" with this blog hop is to let you all know that every purchase you make at Paper Piecings By Nikki, $1 is donated to charity. Giving back to this world we live in. We also want to share some love with you. Go to www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com and pick up your 'Share the Love" Freebie that is on the bottom of her donation page. We would love to have you create something special with it and then link it up to either Paper Piecings By Nikki facebook page or her blog www.paperpiecingsbynikki.blogspot.com. Either way, you will be eligible to win $20 to shop in her store!  You are going to love her designs!!

To be eligible to win, you must do the following:
  1. 'Like' Paper Piecings By Nikki on facebook.
  2. "Follow" her on paperpiecingsbynikki.blogspot.com
  3. Leave a comment on Nikki's blog or facebook telling of you favorite charity and why it is close to your heart
  4. Link your project, using the freebie - or another PPBN piecing on either her blog or facebook page - or both for a second chance to win.

The challenge will remain open for one week. Nikki will choose the winner next Friday. Make sure you leave an address so we can contact you.
Next stop is Mandy

    Valentines Day Cards

I wanted to share with you some cards I made for Valentines Day.  I received my Silhouette Cameo for Christmas and I am learning more and more every day, and I am falling in love with the cuts you can make with this machine.  Very intricate designs.

I scaled the card wrapper down to hold a 3 x 3 card, used Kristal Andrew's "It's Valentines" stamp set and popped a 1 1/2 " heart in the center.  I wanted to make the 3 x 3 size so I can slip them in lunch boxes or suprise someone by putting one under their pillow.  Here is a picture of the stamp set that I used.
