Surprise Blog Hop !

I remember when Nikki first showed up in one of the challenge blog groups on facebook.  She wanted to start a design team but didn't know how or if she should do it.  We all encouraged her to go for it.  She gave us a free digi and we were to make a project with it.  From there she would choose her design team.  This is the digi she gave us to work with.  I fell in love with it right away!!! 

This is the card I made for her design team call.

I am so glad to be part of her design team.  I have loved getting to know Nikki and watch her talents blossom.  Happy Birthday Nikki, you are an inspiration to me!!

I used Nikki's digi file for this card and colored him in with my Spectrum Noir markers. Nikki has her amazing files in digi and cut files so you have a variety of choices to choose from.  There are just some days I want to color LOL.   I used my computer for the sentiment and punched it out with the Stampin Up scallop oval punch.

Here's my project:

This is one of my first attempts at true paper piecing.  I decided to make the lamb looking at me and think he came out so cute.  I embossed the white cardstock with the swirls cuttlebug folder to give it some texture.  The scalloped circle was cut out at 4 1/4 inches from the Birthday Bash cartridge.  Sentiment is from K Andrew's stamp set called "All About Animals"

Summer Challenge

There is a summer challenge going on at the Pixie Dust Studio.  I used their Little Red Riding Hood digi file.

I colored her in with my new Spectrum Noir markers.  The tree layers are from the Silhouette Studio.
