Creative Sisters Monday Challenge!

Happy Monday everyone. These next two weeks I will be hosting Creative Sisters Monday
Challenge, and I am so excited to announce my very first Guest Designer!

Please welcome Jennifer from http://jenscraftcorner.com/ She writes:

I am so excited to be the first Guest Designer!! Thank you Linda for inviting me to do this! I have been scrapbooking for about ten years. It started out as an occasional hobby that I did with friends around their dinning room table. Over time, not only was it a hobby, but it became part of me. I started to make cards several months ago and love it!

Recently, I started Jen's Craft Corner! I had wanted my own blog for a while, but was nervous about setting it up and maintaining it. However, it has been up and running for a few months and it has been the best thing I have ever done! I have met some wonderful bloggers and have been inspired by so many talented ladies. So, come on over and visit http://www.jenscraftcorner.com/  Leave me a comment or message and let me know you saw me on Linda's site.
RECIPE:
This is an A2 card with a brown base
I cut a mat in a light blue Palm Tree: cut at 4 1/2 using my Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. The leaves were cut twice to give it some depth. I have pop dots between each layer. The trunk was embossed using my Cuttlebug, to make it look like palm tree bark Monkey: cut at 4 1/2 using B is for Boy cartridge. Doodled on his belly with my red gel pen. I embossed his hat with my Cuttlebug. Used dimensionals to pop him off the card. Doodled around his belly with red gel pen
I cut a brown piece of paper rounded at the top for the sand on the island and put some Stickles on it to give it some depth
Think Spring: Cut at 1/2 inch using my Pooh Font cartridge
I doodled with my white gel pen around the outside edges of the card

This weeks challenge is all about EMBOSSING. Use any cartridge you like as long as you have some sort of embossing on your project. How easy is that? This challenge will run for two weeks ending on Sunday, March 6th. Please link your project with Mr. Linky down below, leave a comment and become a follower. If you are interested in being my next Guest Designer, please let me know, I would love to have you!

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I wanted to do a project for http://mypinkstamper.com/ blog hop.  She wanted us to combine our favorite colors with black.  I love all colors and when you combine them with black, it just makes the colors pop.  Just bought Pooh and Friends and I love the figures hanging on top of the photo mats - how cute is that??  I thought this came out really cute and am looking forward to finding photo's to complete the page.  I cut the photo mats out at 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 and one at 3 3/4 x 5 1/4.  All the figures where cut at 3 1/4 inches.  Hope you like it.

Creative Sisters Monday Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!!  I am so excited to be joining my awesome sister on http://pattilynncreations.blogspot.com/ for her first challenge.  Patti will be holding a challenge every
1st Monday of the month and I will be hosting a challenge every 3rd Monday.  We will each have a give away and at the end of the month, we will combine everyone that has entered and draw for a grand prize.

For Patti's first challenge she has chosen to use Create A Critter - my all favorite!

I decided to make something a little different.  I got the idea from Angela Juda a Stampin Up demonstrator,
you can find  her video on You Tube under ChicnScratch.  On her video she calls it a Mothers Day bag, I turned it into a little gift bag for a new baby.  You can use any size bags, from the real small all the way up to the regular lunch size bags.  I cut the back and front layers 1/4 of an inche larger than the bag.  The word window punch, from Stampin Up was used to cut out the handle.  Of course you can decorate these anyway you want, I think these would be great to use for little Easter, Halloween or even fill it with some colored basket filler and put some small candles in it for Christmas - the possibilities are endless.  Hope you try it and have fun!

The lamb was cut out at 3 1/2 inches and on my computer I typed in the saying, punched it out using the scallop oval circle punch from Stampin up.

I hope you like it - don't forget to go to my sisters blog http://pattilynncreations.blogspot.com/ for her project and sign up for her blog candy.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Queen of My Craft Room Card Swap

I am so excited to be on http://queenofmycraftroom.blogspot.com/ design team!  This is the first design team I have ever been on.  My first "assignment" was to make 10 St Patrick Day cards for a card swap.  I immediately thought of using the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge for the leprechaun.
I cut the base at 4 1/4 by 5 1/2, the mat was cut at 4 x 5 1/4 and I used Martha Stewarts corner punch.
The leprechaun was cut at 3 1/2 inches. To make it more fun I mounted the leprechaun on Action Wobbles - it looks like he is really kicking up his heels!  The rainbow was cut at 2 inches using Create a Critter.
this is the inside of the card.  I hope you like it.  I mail them tomorrow.  Can't wait to see what the next assigment is going to be!!
