CTMH Inspirational Wednesday #3

Welcome back everyone my third project for Inspirational Wednesday with Close To My Heart.  I love this series!!!  I am doing it with two other awesome consultants, Patti who is also my sister :) and Diana two of the most talented people I know!

Today I decided to make gift card holders using the Artiste cartridge.  They are cut out at 5 inches which is perfect to hold a standard size gift card.

You can make two out of one 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock.
I used the stamp set "Family Love" D1506 for the sentiments.
The lables on all the gift card holders were cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge.

The lable on the blue holders were from page 47 cut at 4 1/2 inches
the lable on the lower left was cut at 3 inches and coordinates with the stamped image
and the lable on the lower right was cut out at 2 inches on page 66.

here is a picture of the inside of the holder.

Isn't that perfect for a gift card?  These are super easy and quick to make.  If you would like to order the Artiste or Art Philosopy cartridge, go to www.pattiross.ctmh.com .  These two cartridges are made to work with one another and the possibilities are literally endless.

Thank you for stopping by.

Christmas Decoration Bears

Happy Monday everyone!  Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend.

I am on the Design Team for www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com and today is my day to post using one of her newest files, called "Christmas Decoration Bears".

I also used "Merry Christmas Gingerbread Train" file for the Christmas tree.  In my Silhouette Studio I grouped the little teddy sitting on the ground to the Christmas tree and cut them out as one piece.  Then I cut out the larger teddy holding the light bulb by himself.  I used stickles on their Christmas hats and along the top of the snow mounds and liquid glass on the light bulb, their eyes and noses and on the star on top of the tree.  The stamp came from CTMH stamp set called "Holiday Wishes".

Hope you enjoyed my card and will hop over to www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com and see what she has new in the store.  She is always adding new files.  Don't forget to stop in on Friday - at 12 noon, she offers one of kind file that is only available from 12-8pm.  After that you will never see them again.

CTMH Inspirational Wednesday!

Welcome back for week 2 of our Close to My Heart Inspirational Wednesdays.    I am having so much fun playing with my stamps.  These stamps are awesome, they are clear so you can position the image in just the right place.

This week, I used "Snowflakes" it is a set of 11 stamps.  The order number if you want to order it yourself is, D1480 and retails for 17.95.

The cardbase is Recollections pack of 24 cards from last Christmas.
I cut white cardstock 3 x 5 and cut strips approx 1 1/8th x 5"
Then you put the pieces back together, stamp and then reposition them with just a small space in between each strip.
I wanted my card to be more dimensional so I used the Art Philosophy cartridge and cut out the coordinating shape of each snowflake and popped it up.

I love how the Art Philosophy cartridge has coordinating stamps - really makes the possibilities endless.

If you are interested in the Cricut cartridge Art Philosophy or the Artiste cartridge or you just want a
great quality stamp set, visit www.pattiross.cthm.com .  Don't forget while you are there to check out the "while it last" section, they have some great deals going on right now.

Unfortunately, I do not have a winner of the petite perks stamps set, so I will offer it again this week along with a Close to My Heart catalog.  The catalog is a great inspirational resource!!

Please leave a comment and you might be the winner.  I will announce the winner next Wednesday.

THANKFUL HEARTS AND WARM WINTER WISHES BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Paper Piecings By Nikki Design Team's November Blog Hop, "Thankful Hearts and Warm Winter Wishes". We are so very thankful for all our fans. You are truly an inspiration to all of us. So grab a cup of hot cocoa and hop along with us. We are hoping to inspire all of you with some Paper Piecing Fun!

If you've arrived here from my sisters Patti's  blog, then you are in the right spot. If you'd like to start at the very beginning, you can start at Nikki's blog. www.paperpiecingsbynikki.blogspot.com

Today, I made a popcorn slider!  These are a lot of fun to make and there are so many ways of decorating them.

Cut the wrapper at 6 x 9, punched a hole at the top and threaded about 13 inches of ribbon through the holes.  Then you push the ribbon down as you slide the popcorn in, when the popcorn is all the way in, tie a knot and then a bow - you now have your slider :)

I used Nikki's "sitting reindeer" file along with my Martha Stewart snowflake punch.  To dress it up a little more, I added some liquid glass to the reindeers nose and crystal stickles to the rim of his santa hat and pom pom.

Next stop will be Kimi and Pam . If you get lost along the way, here is the whole line up:

New CTMH Inspirational Wednesday - Winter

Welcome to the first CTMH Inspirational Wednesday.  This weeks theme is Winter.

For my project I chose to work with the stamp set called "To You and Yours" .

I used my spellbinders dies for the circles and cut them out using glitter paper.  I stamped,  colored and hand cut the cardinal out and popped it up on some foam squares.  The sentiment is also from that same stamp set which reads "Love and Joy to you and yours".  I just love this stamp set!  If you would like to order this stamp set, please visit www.pattiross.ctmh.com the order number is B1403.

What a cute MONKEY!!!

Happy Monday everyone.  Today is my turn to post a project for www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com.  She has so many adorable files, and this one is only .99!  I fell in love with this little monkey the second I saw him.

I used the png file and hand cut this money out (but you could use the silhouette and print and cut ) the monkey measures 3 1/2 inches.  Then I went to the silhouette studio and found this cut file.  It is actually called bookends, the other side of it says baby, but I just wanted the cute, and then wrote the baby's name and info on it to make it personal.  This monkey just makes me smile!!!

If you have not had the pleasure of shopping over at www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com I suggest you do, she has the cutest files!!

Snow is Coming - lets celebrate!

There is something special and exciting about the first snow of the season.  I live in Maine and tonight we are expecting the first "Nor Easter".  Not your typical Maine Nor Easter because they are only calling for 1-3 inches of snow.  A typical Nor Easter for Maine is 10-14 + inches of snow.  But the first snow is coming so I made my first winter/Christmas card.

My image came from www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com it is her freebie snowman file.  I didn't want to make a typical standing snowman so I made him  looking up at the sky - as if he was watching the snowflakes falling to the ground.

Red cardstock - Pebbles "Welcome Christmas" paper stack (really nice weight paper)
White cardstock - from my stash, embossed with the cuttlebug embossing folder
glitter - Crystal snow, from Stampendous!
Crystal stickles were used on the hats rim
Liquid Glass, from CTMH were used on the eyes

I am entering this card in 10 challenges!!!
