Organize this Mess Blog Hop!

Photobucket
Organize this Mess.....we look at our creative space and just wonder where we put that those clear blocks that we had just used two weeks ago, past Tuesday, of the 3rd of the month. We know that feeling oh soooooo well!!!! I pride myself in my organized "clutter"! Wouldn't it be wonderful to know where everything is and that there is a place for everything and everything in its place!!!!

That's what this hop is hoping to do! Trying to give helpful hints on storage, clever ways to keep things and just organize the mess!!!!!!

There is a very creative cluttered group to help us along this path. We hope you can find the time to organize and hop along with us while we "declutter" along the way!!!! Of course there will be some blog candy to add to "your" organized clutter if you comment along the way and don't miss a single blog!

If you just happened to be visiting me today, I am ever so glad, but don't want you to miss an organized stop. So please start at the beginning, at Kimberly  She's going to give us a jump start on cleaning this mess! If you have arrived from my awesome talented sister, Patti, then you are more organized than I am!

I have to tell you, I am not the most organized person, so this hop was a struggle for me.  I have a very small crafting space.
This room, also serves as a bedroom (queen size bed is behind my chair) and a laundry room.  I love my ribbon storage which is right above my computer screen - it is very handy when I am making cards, my printer is on the left along with my cuttlebug and my cameo is on the right under my paper storage.

Last month, I came across a photo keeper and I LOVE IT!!
It holds 20 little boxes which is perfect for holding Nikki's images.  I always print more than one, sometimes I use both, for layering, sometimes I don't.  These little boxes are perfect for all the extras.  I don't have to worry about them getting bent.
I have taken this little box with me to work with a small pair of scissors (which also fit).  I love these boxes!!  I also found they fit the clear acrylic blocks also.  So if you go to a lot of crops or over a friends house, I recommend getting this system.  I bought this at Micheals with a 50% off coupon so it was affordable.

This is how I decorated a few so I know exactly what is in them.

Now, that I have given you a way to get organized, let me send you on your way to Lisa to give some more helpful hints and tips to organize this mess!

Paper Piecings by Nikki

Hello everyone, I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  I know I did.  I got to relax and had a chance to play with images from Paper Piecings by Nikki.  I love love love her designs.  They are so cute and  easy to work with.  With Nikki's designs, you don't need to have a cricut or Silhouette to use her images, because she includes formats so you can cut them out by hand.

My niece is expecting a baby in October, so I wanted to start a baby album for her so she can just add pictures when she gets home with her new baby.

For the cute little bumble bear on the top, I used Nikki's file called Bumble Bee Mine.  I just printed the image and cut it out by hand.  You can also cut two out and layer some of the pieces too - so versitile.  The puppy is from Nikki's file called You Can Always Lean on Me.  I think he is just so adorable!!

The title "Sweet Baby" is cut from my silhouette machine at 3 inches.  The buttons are a Martha Stewart punch that also embosses.  I threaded it with some white thread to give some texture to the page.

I hope you will stop by Paper Piecings by Nikki and check out her designs.  Please stop by every Monday, when I have another "Nikki" project ready.

All my rowdy friends are coming over to party!
At this blog hop, it's a party!! Our fellow blog creators have come up with awesome projects from cards, to decor, to all sorts of ways to make your Birthday bash the best! Here at this hop, you get all the presents! Many of the blogs will offer their own "presents" (blog candy) and I'll be giving away a Cricut Cartridge- Birthday Bash!

So let the party begin!!  If you came from Jearise's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog first, you will want to start at Janet's blog .

For my project, I made little gift boxes from the Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to My Heart.
I cut the largest box out at 11 inches and the smaller one out at 10 inches.
Sentiment is from the celebrations stamp kit that comes with the Art Philosophy bundle.
The rose on top was also cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 3 inches.  I used a paint brush and my Lagoon ink pad from Close to My heart and painted the rose so there was a hint of color.

For my blog candy, I am giving away a petite "My Acrylix" stamp set from Close to my Heart.

Disney Week - Day 3

Welcome back for day 3 of Disney week.  I am having so much fun - it is bringing me back to my childhood playing with these images.  So much fun!
I chose to use another image from Paper Piecings by Nikki and K Andrew's stamps.  These two make a great team, they both donate $1.00 from every sale to a charity!  How awesome is that?

This cute little image is Nikki's version of Pluto - isn't he just adorable?  Don't forget to check out Nikki's website www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com she just came out with a Princess set that is so stinkin cute!!  I will be working on tomorrows project with that file.  Remember, you don't need a machine to use Nikki's files, she has them saved so you can cut them out by hand.

Don't forget to visit my other friends that are doing the Disney week, their projects are awesome!!

Disney Week!

Welcomed to the first day of Disney Week.  This is going to be such a fun week, so make sure to come back daily for new inspiration.

We can use any disney character even Hellow Kitty, Sesame Street, Pooh etc.   So much to choose from!

I chose to use cut files from Paper Piecings by Nikki.  She just came out with a disney bear set called "Clubhouse friends".
These images are Goofy and Daisy.  Aren't they adorable??  I used my silhouette studio to join them together, then I printed them out and cut them by hand.  That is one of the great things about Nikki's designs, you don't need a machine to use her files.

Here is a list of other blogs that are participating, if you would like to check them out.
