Flaunt it Friday Challenge

This week http://flauntitfridays.blogspot.com/  is having a challenge to use Give a Hoot cartridge and to use the bear in the trash can.  I do not have that cartridge, so I decided to use Sesame Street Friends and used Oscar the Grouch on page 56.  I cut him out at 3 1/4 inches and used a standard A2 size card as the base.  I thought it would fun to make it into a fun card for a girlfriend of mine that I have not seen in a while.  We don't really gossip, but it will be nice to catch up with one another.  I hope she likes it.

Holy Cricut Challenge #4

This week on http://totally-stamps.blogspot.com/ Summer is the theme.  The colors to use are blue, green and yellow.  She couldn't have picked better colors for me to use on this layout of my great nephew Tyler.  We had taken him to Fun Town Splash Town for his birthday and his favorite ride was the Frog Hopper.  This ride takes them all the way to the top and then hops down - he loved it!!  He would jump off and run back in line to get on the next time around.  After a while the attendant told him he could just stay on - which he was just fine with.  I couldn't wait to come home and make up this page, I cut the frogs out at 3 inches using Create a Critter.  Hope you like it.

My first Challenge!!

I was cleaning out my craft area and I came across some printed textured cards I bought at Micheals
for 5.00 for 50 cards and envelopes.  Can't pass a deal like that, but when I get them home, I cannot think of what to make with them, so they sit in the box.  I thought I would turn to my fabulous followers for help.  These are the cards I picked up the colors are blue, beige and white.
My challenge is simple, show me how you make beautiful cards using printed pre-made cards.

Here is my take on this challenge:   I justed glued the side and the bottom of the card so I can use it as a holder for my tag.  Used Tags Bags Boxes and more cartridge to cut out the tag at 5 1/2 inches on the mirror setting so I can use the inside for directions to our new home.  The white tag was cut at 5 1/4 inches.  Martha Stewarts corner punch was used on the front mat and used my computer for the wording.

You will have until next Sunday to submit your work.  I will be giving away two sets of cuttlebug
folders.

Card for Charlie

Hi everyone.  I read on My Pink Stamper about a little 4 year old boy in need of prayers.  His name is Charlie and he is battling a rare skin condition that causes his skin to blister.  He is at The Ronald McDonald House undergoing treatment.  If you would like to read more about him and an address to send him a card
please visit http://cricutcraftsbyangela.blogspot.com/.  She is keeping her blog updated with his progress.
Here is a card that I will be mailing out to Charlie in hopes it will make him smile.
inside the card reads..."I was thinking of you..."  I hope if you cannot send a card, to please keep him and his family in your prayers.  I cannot imagine watching my child go through such a tough time.

Jitterbuggin Challenge

Happy Wed. everyone.  Today I am joining the challenge on http://jitterbugginchallenge.blogspot.com/ to create something with chocolate brown and one other color.  I love the hedgehog on the Create a Critter cartridge.  I cut her out at 3 inches.  The punch I used on the corners of the mat is from the Martha Stewart corner punch called "Layered Arches".  Under the hedgehog I embossed "with love" with my cuttlebug boarder folders.  I hope you like it.

Created for Getting Cricky Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope everyone is having a great day.  Here in Maine, it is sunny and very cold.  Great day to be inside scrapbooking.  Over on http://kandrewdesigns.blogspot.com/ is having a challenge to create anything as long as it has a bird on it.  I decided to use up a title that I had created way too big for a card, on a scrapbook layout of my son and his girlfriend.  We had gone to Hermon Mountain for the day to go tubing and we had such a good day being together and just having fun.
I cut the Title from Winter Frolic, the snowflakes were cut at various sizes from Christmas Cheer, the tube
that the little bird is sitting in came from Everyday paper dolls, and the little bird is from 3 Birds on Parade.  I love how this turned out, it brings back really good memories.  Hope  you like it.

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop Challenge

Robyn over at http://mypinkstamper.com/ is having a blog hop and we get to participate!!  I love how she made a game out of it, where we had to go to everyone's blog to get a word so we can spell out what the challenge was.  What a great idea Robyn!!  I chose to make something bright and cheerful with Spring in mind.  Here in Maine, we just had a huge snowstorm, so my mind is dreaming of Spring already.  For the card base I used my Wild Card cartridge and cut the card out at 5 3/4 inches.  The flower was cut at 4 inches using Simply Charmed.  I hope you like it.

Winter Warmies on Fantabulous Cricut

This week on http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/ the challenge is to create  some type of winter clothing accessory on your project (hats, mitton, sweaters etc).  I was so excited when I saw this, because I just bought Simply Charmed and have not had a chance to use it yet.  I love the mittens on this cartridge and I wanted them to wave at  you, so I made my own action wobbles which I saw on Fantabulous Cricut site.  I cut the mittens  at 3 inches, embossed the background mat with my snowflake cuttlebug folder and with my Stampin Up! label punch, I wrote in my sentiment.  I really thought this card came out so cute!!  I hope you like it.

Paper Playtime Challenge #33

This week on http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com there is a challenge to create a project using black, white and silver ONLY.  I instantly thought of my new Heritage cartridge when I saw this.  I cut the woman's silhouette out at 2 inches and cut the scalloped ovals out with my Spellbinder dies.  To give it some dimension, I popped dotted the white layer making it look more like a cameo.  You can't see the silver saying too well underneath but it says "faith" and I added the two silver hearts symbolize a mothers love and faith.  Its a clean and simple card and I hope you like it.

Snow Theme Challenge

This week on http://madebymomo.blogspot.com/ and http://cookingwithcricut.com/ there is a challenge to create a card, scrapbook page or some other project with a snow theme.  I am in love with my Winter Frolic cartridge so I decided to make a stair step card with all the children having fun in the snow.  Hope you like it.

Valentine two way open card

With Valentines Day coming up next month, I wanted to try a new card design that I saw on Splitcoast
Stampers.  It is called the Two Way Open Card.  The white card base is cut at 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.  The red layer is cut at 8 x 4, scored at 4 and then you cut the left side on the diagonal.  The inside card is cuat at 3 1/2 x 7 and scored at 3 1/2.  You can add a ribbon closure to this card, I would attatch it underneath the
red layer and tie to the front.  I made this for my cousin that lives in North Carolina, she has the most adorable little dog named Hobo, thought Hobo could send this to her as a surprise :).  For the heart on the front and the saying I used the Cricut Lite cartridge called Four Legged Friends.

My Pink Stamper Design Team Call

I made this card for the My Pink Stamper Design Team Call.  Robyn wanted us to make a project using her favorite colors pink, brown and green using one of our favorite cartridges.  My favorite all time cartridge is
Create a Critter.  All the images just make you smile, and you can make them with bright vivid colors or my favorite, earth tones.  My recipe for this card is:
                         card base was cut at 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2
                         Pink layer was cut 4 x 5 1/4
Cricut cartridge is Create a Critter - monkey cut at 2 1/2 inches
vines were also cut from Create a Critter  at 3 inches
"Thanks so much" stamp was from Studio G
I love faux stitching so I used my white gel pen and stitched around the card.  I hope you like it.
