Is tiggers are wonderful things.Their tops are made out of rubber. heir bottoms are made out of springs. They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy fun, fun, fun, fun, fun But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is I'm the only one. Mix It Up Blog Hop

Welcome to the Mix It Up Blog Hop brought to you by the Paper Piecings By Nikki Design Team. Two weeks ago, part of our amazing and talented design team inspired you with ways to mix and match Nikki's awesome patterns. This time, the rest of the team is going to toss it up a bit and show you how you can mix and match patterns - using different patterned and textured paper.

Now, If you arrived here from Patti's Blog you are in the right spot. If you want to start at the beginning, go to Patti's blog.

This is going to be a challenge for some (all) of us! Mixing and matching patterned paper isn't always easy - and I have to admit failing a time or two. BUT, isn't that the fun of paper piecing and scrapping? Testing our limits and trying new things? So without further rambling, here is my project:

Recipe:
Patterned paper - from my scrapbox
Flower - "Best in the Bunch" Paper Piecings by Nikki
Cute Dog - "You Can Lean on Me" Paper Piecings by Nikki
Sentiment stamp - K Andrews  called "Positive Thoughts"

I made this card for my boyfriends birthday tomorrow - won't tell the age, but it is one of those large milestone ones :).  I popped up the flower so it looks like the dog popped up just to wish him a happy birthday :).  I hope it makes him smile and brightens his day.

Thanks so much for taking a look at my Mix It Up project. Your next stop will be: Liz

Another fun Challenge!

I found another fun challenge to enter.  It is at Pixie Dust Studio.  The theme is Anything Boy.
Recipe:
Baseball guy and baseball diamond - Paper Piecing with Nikki "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" file
Banner - I purchased from the Silhouette Store

I plan on using this little guy on a scrapbook layout of when my son played baseball in elementary school.

Get Well Cards

Happy Thursday everyone.  My Time to Craft is having a challenge to make a get well card.  I wanted to join this challenge because I never have enough of these on hand.
Recipe:
5 x 5 card base is from Studio G
Background papers - Paper Pizazz "Heritage"
Ribbon - AC Moore
Adorable Bear - Paper Piecings by Nikki - You can find this cute little bear under the free files!
Sentiment - K Andrews - Of Mice & Lil Men (A must have in my opinion)

If you have never done paper piecing, I hope you are not intimidated!!  Nikki sells all her files in ALL formats.  You do not need a fancy cutting machine and software to use her files, you can print them out as I did on this card and cut them out by hand.  Sometimes I want to pop dot some of the pieces, so I will cut two of the same image and cut out like the hands and just pop dot them up.  So many ways to use Nikki's images - let your imagination go!!  You can check out her fan page so you can see what the Design Team creates - you will definately be inspired.  http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/ppbncraftyinspirations/

I am also entering this card in the CUTE CUTE CUTE challenge on www.papertakeweekly.blogspot.com

Thank you so much for stopping by today :)

Paper Piecing fun..

Happy Sunday everyone.  I just wanted to share with you a calendar project that Paper Piecings by Nikki design team was doing this weekend.  We were to make a calendar for each month using Nikki's
designs.  I chose July.
Made this calander using "Under the Sea" file.  This file also includes some dolphins too which are super cute.  I cut "July" out with my Silhouette Cameo.
This was something I have never done, but it was so much fun, I think I will make a page similar to this for my nieces scrapbook.
Hope you like it and thank you for stopping by :)  Have a great Sunday.
