Tuesday Challenge #13

This weeks challenge on Made by Momo's blog was to use the colors green, orange and yellow along with some stitching.  People that know me, know that I do not sew, I don't even own a needle and thread, so thanks goodness for the white gel pen!!  I can stitch with that all day long :) .  I made this card using Give a hoot for the mallard - cut at 2 1/2 inches.  The brown square was embossed using Forest Branches cuttlebug folder.  The orange card base was bazzill, the rest of the card was using my scrap pieces.  I like how this card came out - I think it is a great masculine thank you card.  Hope you like it.

Creative Scraps Sunday Challenge

The challenge today for Creative Scraps Sunday Challenge was to create a Halloween/fall project using Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge and you had to include ribbon.  This challenge was a struggle for me, because I really do not like Halloween - love fall, but not a fan of Halloween.  But there are so many cute
characters on Paper Doll Dress Up I thought I could do something cute.  I used ribbon on Vampira's staff. The iron gate came from Straight from the nest, cut at 4 1/2 inches "fit to length" on my expression.  Everything else was with the Paper Doll Dress Up.
I hope you like it.

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Challenge #98

This weeks challenge on My Creative Time blog is to create a card without using your cricut or any other
machine.  I pulled out my Scrap Pad to Go from K&Company for  the paper and cut outs.  "Happy Birthday" is from Stampin Up!  "Well Scripted" stamp set.   I made the dragon fly myself with a very thin wire.  I love making them - they are so delicate looking.  Hope you like it!

My Pink Stampers 5 Million Celebration!

My Pink Stamper had 5 million visitors to her blog and she decided to hold a day full of fun, giveaways and challenges.  One of the challenges was to create a card with a bird on it.  I decided to make this easel card cut at 4 1/2 x 12, scored at 3" and at 6".  I cut the chicken and egg at 4 inches using the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge.  The nest and eggs were cut at 3 inches using Straight from the Nest.  I hope you like it - I think it is super cute!

Tea-light Card

Today I am thinking of Christmas and the craft fair I have coming up in November.  I found a template for this tea light card from http://scrappeskreppe.blogspot.com/ and I fell in love with it.  It took a few tries to convert cm into inches but I got it to work.  I used craft cardstock and cut it 6 x 12 then you score at 3/8", 1 1/4",  2 3/4", 3 5/8" then you turn your cardstock around and score at 3 1/2 inches.  To make the opening so you can see the tealights I left and inch on top and bottom and cut in 1/4" on each side. (this will be the 2 3/4 portion of the card, which forms the top of the tea light holder).  I tied a ribbon around the tealights so they will not slide out.  I used some ribbon I bought from AC Moore, but was thinking since I was doing a vintage card, I could have used stips of material to make it feel more "old world".  I hope you like it, I think I will be making more to hand out to my co-workers for my Christmas cards - they will get a card and a gift all in one.  Love that it!!

Made by Momo's Tues. Challenge #12

This week Made by Momo has a challenge to make a "just because" card and mail it out to someone.  I decided to make this cute little chicken in a nest.  I cut everything from create a critter cricut cartridge.  The shell and chick were cut at 3 1/2 and the nest was cut at 2 inches.  "Thinking of you" stamp came from K&Company.  This is my first entry into a challenge, I hope you like it.

Digi Scrap card

Here is another card made from the Digi Scrap kit.  Again the craft cardstock is 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at
5 1/2 inches.  I drew some stitching around the card and kept it very simple.

Digi Scrap card #2

Here is a card that I made with the Digi Scrap kits.  The card is cut at 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2.    I used the snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder as the background and just matted it with some blue cardstock and mounted everything on craft cardstock (my favorite).

Here is a fall card I created with Create a Critter. The pumpkins were cut out at 3 ", 2 1/2 inches and the small one was at 2 inches. The little spider was cut at 2 inches and it was from Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I used Martha Stewart's leaf punch on the corners.

Here is my first attempt at Christmas cards for this year. I found this Santa I had printed years ago. I can't remember where I got the image from, but thought I would try it on a card. I LOVE it!! I wish I had more of him to make some more cards.

Happy Sunday everyone!

It sure has been a busy one for me so far. With the cooler weather, I get into the cooking mode, love to make the house smell good with homemade goodies. Right now I have homemade bread rising and a roast in the oven - YUM.

Wanted to share with you a few cards I have made since my last posting. I am currently working on some Christmas cards. I found some beautiful Old world Santa's on my computer I have totally forgotten about. I will post them soon.

Thank you for visiting me - hope you come back soon.
