Red, White and Blue Blog Hop
Todays blog hop is being hosted by the talented Nicolette Simpson of Beyond Scrapin. If you just came over from Pam's page, you are in the right spot. If you would like to start from the beginning, please start at Nicolette's blog.
For this hop, we were suppose to make a project with the colors red, white and blue. I decided to make a scrapbook page. I started out making the star card from the Wild Card cartridge and thought it would be nice to make a scrapbook layout that kinda looked like a flag. For the lettering I used Plantin School book.
Hope you like it.
Your next stop is Tammy, I know she has a fantastic project to share with you!

Guest Designer and a New Challenge!
This week I have the pleasure of having Nita T of Nita Notes as my very talented Guest Designer. Please visit her blog and see the amazing projects she makes She writes:
I'm a Canadian girl through and through. I live in Calgary, Alberta with my husband and our 2 children, Abigail (age 8) and Luke (age 5). I'm a stay-at-home Mom and also a Homeschooler, so I keep pretty busy. I have always been "crafty"; cross-stitching has been my hobby since my teenage years, but a couple of years ago I began dabbling in scrapbooking. My Cricut Expression arrived in March of this year as an early Mother's Day/Birthday present from my family. I thought I would use it mainly for Homeschool projects and Birthday party preparations (I LOVE a good Birthday party!). Then I discovered card-making, and a new addiction was born. I love being able to create something personal for someone, to be able to say "I made this with you in mind."
Thanks so much to Linda for choosing my challenge idea! I love Christmas. My family would tell you I'm a bit of a Christmas maniac. So I thought a Christmas in June Challenge would give me an excuse to use my Christmas Cricut Cartridges and my Christmas stamps. :) "
As Nita said, our challenge is CHRISTMAS IN JUNE. Create a project ie: card, scrapbook page, tags, gift wrap - anything with a Christmas theme so we can get a head start on our Christmas projects!!
Here are Nita's beautiful projects:

New Challenge!
On Patti Lynn Creations she asked for a challenge from one of our followers and Karen from http://www.littlescrappieces.blogspot.com/ came up with one. Make a project using all shade of one color and one color only. I LOVE the color purple so I have a lot of purple paper. I made a regular A2 size card and a few layers to make this card. I hope you like it.
Now hop on over to Patti's blog and join in the fun. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Birthday Cards
Happy Sunday everyone. My boyfriends' son, Sean turns 21 today so I made a few cards to give to him. I started with embossing the background with a cuttlebug folder, I cannot remember the name of it but it is the one with cattails and a bird .. Sean loves dogs so I used Everyday Paper dolls cricut cartridge for the dog, cut him out at 4 1/4 in dark brown and then again in light brown. Cut the head off the light brown dog and put it on an action wobble and attatched his collar. I use the collar to put the action wobble in motion - so so cute. Just holding the card the head shakes a little like he is so excited to see him!!! LOL. Inside of the card, I like to make it a money holder. I cut the dog house from the same Cricut cartridge at 4" and adhered it down on just the sides and bottom, leaving the top open to slip in the money. I think Sean will smile when he opens this card.
Hope everyone likes it.

This next card is just a simple one, again I used a Happy Birthday cuttlebug folder, and cut the numbers and letters from the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge. I like the clean and simple look of this one.
