Christmas Cards and Cookie Blog Hop

Welcome to Round Two of the Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop! You should have come from Jearise blog. If you are starting here and wish to hop from the beginning of the hop, please visit Dena’s blog. There was so much response to the Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop that it had to be split between two weekends. Round One was held last weekend. Round Two is this weekend, beginning on Saturday, Dec. 10th, through Sunday, Dec. 11th. We have a talented group of women who love papercrafting and baking. Each of them is sharing a recipe for a yummy Christmas treat along with a Christmas card or tag. Hopefully, you’ll pick up some great ideas for your own Christmas gift giving this season. So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy!

For my project I made a family favorite called Dream Cookies.  I remember my mom making a double batch of these cookies and before we could eat them all, she would put them in a container and freeze them.  Little did she realize that we knew they were in the freezer downstairs and all four of us children would go down and have a snack every now and then.  I can still remember unhappy she was when she went to pull them out of the freezer when we had guests, only to find an empty container still in the freezer.  LOL

I am going to bring these on my shopping trip tomorrow with my sisters so we can remember holidays past and remember my mom.  I made a card with the recipe inside, so I can pass this recipe down to my niece whom will be joining us on our shopping trip.

For the sentiment on the front of the card, I used K. Andrews stamp set called "Winged Things".  It is an awesome mix and match set.  If you would like to see more of her stamps you can visit her page HERE
I hope you try this recipe, it is quick and easy to make - much like a shortbread.

Thank you for stopping by - your next stop is April

Oh yeah...and you and cindi could look sooooooo innocent when she asked, "Who ate the cookies?" You know because I was the oldest, who she blamed! LOL

GREAT JOB! Loved shopping with all of you and eating the cookies! Just like mom made!
